[VIDEO] Jessica+Rob’s Comfort TX Ranch Wedding

It’s seems like the Spring 2012 wedding season has taken The Wedding Theater on tour. This year, we have seen more weddings outside of Austin than ever before – which has introduced us to some amazing wonderful people. Jessica first came into visit with us when we were in between studios working out of a house! She was sweet and from the minute she started talking, I knew she had a very specific wedding planned. Jessica and Rob had a wedding on a family ranch down near Comfort, TX where she had grown up. The ranch is surrounded by rolling Texas hill country and a beautiful setting for what I like to call a community wedding. At times it almost seemed like we were at a massive family reunion! Typically, we somewhere between 100-300 guests at weddings. This wedding had somewhere around 600! A whole community of people came together for an evening of tears, amazing food, drink, and love. These two were so kind, really going above what we normally see on their wedding day to try and visit with each guest. The BBQ was cooked on 5-6 huge smokers with a group of 10 men constantly stirring the wood and tending to the fire. The details and decorations were placed individually not by a hired team of coordinators, but by close friends and family that had known the two for years. To really turn things up a notch, the Dry Water Band brought down the house all evening with a huge variety of music allowing everyone to show off their best two-step… 🙂 To make this day even more perfect, Jessica had one of our favorite photographers, Caroline+Ben Photography who we work so flawlessly along side and really love catching up with!  Please enjoy this wedding video and to Jessica and Rob, thank you so much for having us out.

[VIDEO] Stephanie+Brett’s San Antonio TX Wedding

Oddly enough The Wedding Theater has filmed more weddings in Houston and Dallas than we do San Antonio in the past but suddenly for 2012 we have had a surge in clients from the area!  Stephanie and Brett had a beautiful ceremony at Alamo Heights, which turned out to be one of the most beautiful churches we have ever been to! After the ceremony we all headed over to Southwest School of Art and Craft, which from the name alone you might not associate with weddings, but as it turns out SSAC is one of the more sought after venues in the area. Being right on the Riverwalk, it is one of the few places in San Antonio you can get married or have your reception with a view of the river! The reception itself was amazing! Stephanie and Brett, along with their coordinator, Melody Agee of San Antonio Wedding and Event Consultants put on one heck of an event that I’m sure will be talked about amongst their friends and family for years to come. Ice House Band out of Dallas provided the entertainment for the evening and did not disappoint. Singing newer hits mixed in with some covers of older songs, Ice House really had the place rocking. At the end of the night everyone gathered outside to send off Stephanie and Brett to their new lives as a married couple. One of the great pleasures of our job is being with our clients on one of the happiest days of their lives and to see these new couples starting a new chapter in their lives. Watching Stephanie and Brett leave and ride off into the night you could see the excitement and happiness on their faces. Hopefully this video will reflect that, so without further adieu, please enjoy Stephanie and Brett’s wedding trailer!!

[VIDEO] Monica+Carlos’s Spicewood Vineyard Wedding

It’s easy to see why Monica and Carlos choose these two great locations. This couple looks perfect together, and their personalities couldn’t be a more perfect fit. Both unbelievably sweet, caring, and always doing their best (even on their own wedding night) to make sure their guests were comfortable and having fun. Monica and Carlos are the very definition of why we do what we do and we think it shows in their short film. Queen of Angels Chapel is located just outside of Austin, TX in a small South Lake Travis community called Spicewood. The area is some of the most beautiful terrain in Texas and begins what many call “Hill Country” or “God’s Country.” Towering above the tree line, Queen of Angels is a beautiful timeless chapel with a wonderful atmosphere for a wedding. The natural light that is allowed through the 20 foot tall stained-glass windows is the first thing you noticed, along with the dark stained wood work in every direction. Monica and Carlos first mentioned Queen of Angels Chapel in an early meeting but they didn’t go into much detail about Spicewood Vineyard! This was our first time at the Spicewood Vineyard and it’s simply stunning. Warm tones mixed with classy rock and stone make for a wonderful color palette that’s there before you decorate.
